What is a CMA?
Unlike a bank Appraisal conducted by an Appraiser, a Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) is a property valuation method used primarily by real estate agents.
A CMA involves analyzing recent sales of similar properties in the same area to assess the property’s value. They help sellers set realistic asking prices and assist buyers in making realistic offers.
This process is generally more complicated in the Gorge than in larger markets like Portland or Seattle. This is due to limited like-kind comparables.
